Edison High School (EHS) was constructed in 1969. The institution served freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors beginning in 1969. During the first year, numerous traditions were formed and continue to be a part of the culture at Edison High School up to this day.

The objective of Edison High School is to encourage all students to attain the highest level of academic achievement. The school, in cooperation with the whole Edison Township School District and its community, will provide a secure, supportive learning environment that develops character, wisdom, self-worth, and productive contributions to a diverse and dynamic global society.

Edison High School has a strong sense of Tradition and Pride with the purpose of preparing pupils for the twenty-first century. Their vision is for their students to represent the level of preparedness anticipated by all their graduates. The year 1990 began a new era for the Edison High School community, during which the school continued to offer and expand its academic and extracurricular offerings. At the close of the 20th century, Edison High School continued to provide each student with the opportunity to realize their full academic and extracurricular potential.
