Mesa View Middle School is a highly diverse middle school for grades 6 through 8. The school is home to the District GATE magnet program and a joint SELPA program for students with severe emotional disabilities. Mesa View Middle School has about 800 kids, of which 40% are Gifted and Talented Education (GATE) students, 11% are English Language Learners, 22% qualify for free or reduced-price lunch, and 11% are recognized as special education students.

The school’s sixth-grade teaming program facilitates students’ transition to middle school. Students receive one instructor for English/Language, Arts, and social studies and another for mathematics and natural sciences. Students have the option of participating in a trimester exploration wheel or a beginning band class. This institution provides chorus, band, strings, Spanish, and additional STEM courses.
