Huntington Central Park is Orange County’s largest city-owned and administered park. Located in the Huntington Beach, California area, it spans 356 acres and includes both Central Park West and Central Park East.

Central Park West is home to the Huntington Central Park Equestrian Center, a disc golf course, Lake Huntington, Kathy May’s Lakeview Cafe, a dog park, the Shipley Nature Center, and the Senior Center, as well as a rentable covered picnic shelter.

Central Park East is home to the Huntington Beach Central Library, the Library Theater, an Adventure Playground, a Sports Complex, the Park Bench Cafe, Talbert Lake, the Secret Garden, a natural amphitheater, a bandstand, picnic tables and grills, an exercise course, and winding pathways.

Huntington Central Park also hosts a variety of activities, concerts, and special events throughout the year, including the Easter Hunt and Family Fun Day, The Revolution, and the Taste of Huntington Beach.

Public parking is provided for a fee in lots located throughout the park. The park is open from 5:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Huntington Central Park Equestrian Center – The Huntington Central Park Equestrian Center is located in Huntington Central Park on 25 acres of magnificent, sea-breezed property. This is one of Southern California’s best equestrian facilities, with almost 400 horses, various trainers and venues, an annual horse show, and more than 150 acres of public trails. Additionally, the center features The Red Horse Barn, which features rustic, elegant, and romantic wedding and event space. Horse Play offers horseback riding rentals, 30-minute and 1-hour trail rides around the gorgeous park, as well as summer camps, birthday parties, clinics, and other exciting outdoor activities.

Playground of Adventure – Get messy and make memories at this location where children may raft on a pond, negotiate a rope bridge, slide down a mudslide, and construct forts. Adventure Playground is best suited for children ages 5 to 12, and is only open during the summer months. Children must wear closed-toe tennis shoes and dress for the possibility of getting muddy.

Disc Golf – a variation on the traditional 18-hole game of golf, is enjoyable for players of all ages! Gather your Frisbees and make your way to Huntington Central Park, which is home to Orange County’s only disc golf course! The course begins on a mountaintop and winds across farmland and near Central Park’s Lake Huntington. Prepare to walk up and down several hills.

Complexe de Sports – The Huntington Central Sports Complex is situated adjacent to Huntington Central Park on 45 acres. Eight softball pitches are interspersed with seven soccer fields in the Sports Complex. Additionally, there are two open synthetic turf pitches and one arena synthetic turf field. Batting cages, two snack kiosks, two playgrounds, and toilet facilities are available. Dogs are permitted at the Sports Complex, but must be kept on a leash and held by their owner.
