The school has high expectations for its students and the school community help students realize their dreams. The staff’s mission is to get to know their students and learn about what will help them be academically successful as well as mentally and emotionally healthy. This year the students are motivated to make a connection through the school’s campus programs; clubs, performing arts, and athletics. whether that is a staff member or making new friends in class. Students succeed when they participate in activities both in the classroom and across the campus. Marina High Schools students are encouraged to join a club, connect with a club, cheer on the Viking Athletes, and most importantly, raise their hands in class.
The objective of Marina High School is to give its students a challenging, relevant education in a nurturing atmosphere that encourages critical thinking, creativity, innovation, and community.
There are a few possibilities for incoming 9th pupils who wish to take a summer course at the school before starting 9th grade. Health, Mindset for Success, PE, Ceramics, Digital Photography, and Geometry are available for enrollment (with teacher recommendation). This is a wonderful opportunity for students to familiarize themselves with the campus and begin their high school career a bit early.
