The phrase “guidance” encompasses all programs that assist students in navigating through high school, from enrollment through graduation. This includes providing students with an appropriate class schedule depending on their interests, academic needs, graduation requirements, and postsecondary education and professional aspirations each year. Having both short- and long-term goals facilitates this process. In addition, guidance staff ensures that student’s academic, social, and emotional needs are satisfied by providing them with resources, counseling, and assistance. The guidance staff is enthusiastic about assisting students in becoming mature, goal-oriented individuals.
